The DOJ’s indictment reads like a fable: companies majority-owned by the Chinese state, complete with their bureaucratic entourage (the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Beijing, anyone?), masquerading as eligible applicants. They juggled lies like a circus act-pretending to be small, when they were bloated with foreign affiliations and staff counts that would make a Walmart HR manager weep. 🤡
