Ethereum Is Too Profitable-Now Everyone’s Panicking (And Probably Selling)

So apparently, 98% of Ethereum is now in profit. Yeah, two-year high, everyone’s rolling in dough… for now. Don’t get too comfy-you know how this ends: someone panics, everyone panics, and boom-the price goes down faster than my patience at a dinner party. 💸

Profit Levels: Not Seen Since Crocs Were Still Socially Acceptable

According to Glassnode-which, I assume, is just a fancy way of saying “people who stare at charts all day”-their “Percent Supply in Profit” metric for ETH just hit 98%. That’s the kind of number I’d want on my cholesterol test, but here it means basically everyone’s sitting on a bonus, except for the one guy who somehow bought ETH during a solar eclipse or something. 📈

Here’s the thing: every time the metric hits above 95%, investors start feeling rich, so naturally they consider selling. And why not? Have you ever met a group of people who could resist cashing in when everyone else is doing it? I haven’t. Unless we’re talking about my Uncle Sal, who still refuses to sell his Beanie Babies.

The last two years say it all. Four times above 95%, and what happens? You guessed it-price correction. People sell, market drops, someone cries in the shower. Twice it went down more than 10%, and once it tanked over 40%. That’s not a correction, that’s a meltdown!

If ETH Drops, Watch the Metric-Or Just Watch Netflix

This latest rally is courtesy of Digital Asset Treasury companies, who started buying up everything but the kitchen sink in May. Now, if they decide to sell all at once, it could get ugly out there. Like, “all-you-can-eat shrimp night at a casino buffet” ugly.

Supposedly, this “Percent Supply in Profit” indicator is the big thing to watch. If it dives alongside ETH’s price, that’s when the brave (or reckless) buy, while the rest write angry tweets. In other words, watch the metric if you like heartburn, or maybe just watch a sitcom and pretend your portfolio isn’t screaming. 🤷‍♂️
