David Schwartz, Ripple’s CTO Emeritus (a title that sounds like a retirement plan for rock stars), has been anointed as a headline speaker at XRP Australia 2026. Because nothing says “innovation” like a man who’s technically retired but still here to tell us how blockchain will save the world-or at least the APAC region.
Joining him are Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse (because who better to discuss cross-border payments than someone who’s clearly never actually crossed a border) and President Monica Long, who will presumably drop some visionary insights while sipping a latte from a crypto-branded cup. The event itself is happening at Crown Towers Sydney on Feb. 27, where attendees can expect deep dives into things like AMM mechanics (aka “math, but make it money”) and regulatory hurdles (because nothing says “growth” like a good bureaucratic roadblock). If you’re lucky, they’ll serve canapés shaped like XRP coins. I’m holding out for a gold-plated ledger.
Brad Garlinghouse will share “exclusive insights” into cross-border payments. Let’s be real: this will probably involve a slide titled “Why PayPal Is Dinosaur Energy.” Monica Long will speak about the “Internet of Value.” Translated: “We’re still not entirely sure what that means, but trust us.”
February is shaping up to be the month of XRP. On Feb. 11, the XRP Community Day will take place on X Spaces. Bring your best crypto lingo and a strong Wi-Fi connection-nothing says “community” like shouting into the void of Twitter Spaces.
Evernorth announces push for institutional XRP adoption
Evernorth, the XRP treasury company that’s basically a fancy bank for digital assets, and Doppler Finance have joined forces to “explore potential collaboration.” Translation: they’ll send 14 emails a day saying “synergy” and “ecosystem” until someone buys in. Their focus? Structured liquidity deployment. Sounds like a Yoko Ono art project with better ROI.
In other news, Flare launched an XRP spot market on Hyperliquid. FXRP-USDC trading pair, anyone? It’s like crypto’s version of a Jenga tower-exciting, precarious, and likely to collapse if you sneeze too hard.
