Well, folks, hold onto your wallets! Warren Buffett just pulled a disappearing act with billions! In his final quarter as the big cheese at Berkshire Hathaway, he decided to give Bank of America and Amazon the ol’ heave-ho! Talk about a dramatic exit!
In a shocking twist worthy of a Hollywood script, our dear ol’ Warren dumped $2.79 billion worth of Bank of America shares faster than you can say “cha-ching!” He unloaded 50,774,078 BAC shares in just three months-was it a fire sale or a clearance event?
As of December 31st, 2025, Berkshire’s still sitting on a whopping 517,295,934 BAC shares valued at $28.451 billion. That’s a lot of dough! Enough to buy a small island… or maybe just a really fancy yacht.
But wait, there’s more! In a plot twist that even M. Night Shyamalan couldn’t predict, Buffett also sold $1.78 billion in Amazon shares last quarter. He trimmed his position down by 7,724,000 shares, leaving him with a measly 2,276,000 AMZN shares worth around $525.346 million. Pocket change, right?
Meanwhile, in the world of corporate shopping sprees, Berkshire opened new positions in three companies like it was Black Friday! They snatched up 10,917,661 Series C shares of Liberty Live Holdings (LLYVK) for $907.912 million-because who doesn’t love a good game of financial Monopoly?
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any crazier, Berkshire also bought 5,065,744 shares of the New York Times (NYT) for $351.663 million. You know, just in case he wanted to stay updated on the latest social media outrage over breakfast!
Now, if we zoom out – and I mean really zoom out, like we’re on a spaceship – Apple (AAPL) still reigns supreme as Berkshire’s largest holding, making up 22.6% of its portfolio. Followed closely by American Express (AXP) at 20.46%, Bank of America at 10.38%, Coca-Cola (KO) at 10.2%, and Chevron (CVX) at 7.24%. It’s like a financial buffet, and Warren’s got a plate full of everything!
