Listen up, folks!
- So, June 28 rolls around, and you know what that means? It’s Pi2Day! đ Itâs a big deal in the Pi Network world, apparently. Lots of updates â some major, some minor â but hey, most were overshadowed by Pi App Studio. I mean, can we not give everything else a little attention? It’s like everyone ran off to the new restaurant while the old diner quietly burns down.
- Then you’ve got the Core Team, bless their little hearts, posting a video yesterday talking about updates that flew under the radar. Yeah, because who doesnât want to hear about minor tweaks in a network post? Sounds like a real nail-biter! đ
Theyâre all about making it easier for you to create apps without, you know, needing an IT degree. Apparently, thatâs the dream â welcome to the future, where we all just nod and pretend that sounds fantastic. Just read the full Pi2Day blog if you want. Or donât. Your call.

New Node Versions
Beyond the Pi App Studio creation (which sounds fancy but is basically just a glorified playpen for apps), the Core Team decided you all need to know about the new versions of Pi Nodes. Surprise, surprise, they changed the name! Pi Node is now Pi Desktop. Wow, groundbreaking stuff here. You know, nothing screams innovation like a name change. Is it really that hard? Just go with “Pi Super Duper Amazing App”! đ€ Microphone drop!
Version 0.5.2 rolled out on June 28, and they updated everything under the sun, including some bug fixes. Always nice to have those â but does everyone need to download this “new” Pi Desktop, or will it just sit there collecting digital dust like my gym membership? The team says you should “take advantage” of it. Take advantage? Like Iâm getting a discount at the pizza place? đ
Oh, and if youâre running Pi Nodes, donât worry. Youâll still get your mining rewards! Lucky you! Just so weâre clear, thatâs what keeps everything chugging along since we need to pretend this is all working for security and decentralization. Because who doesnât feel like a pioneer while sitting on their couch? đ
PIâs Price Update
Now, letâs talk about the elephant in the room â the price of PI. Spoiler alert: itâs not exactly skyrocketing. Despite the stream of updates, newsflash: Piâs token is still floundering like a fish out of water. Even as Bitcoin hits record highs, and other altcoins are doing their happy dance with double-digit gains, hereâs Pi, dragging its feet at a sluggish 4% drop. Itâs like watching a marathon and realizing someone took a nap halfway through.
One minute itâs over $0.52 and gasping for air, the next itâs back to under $0.47 â basically the same territory as last week. Timing is everything, folks! Some users think this is because of low liquidity and all sorts of uncertainties, like investor confidence and those pesky token unlocks. Such fun! đ°
